Mum poles, uncommon in today's bamboo market, are hollow poles from Vietnam. It is a thin-walled bamboo that does not taper significantly.
It has a beautiful and consistent appearance, with clean lines and nodes that are closer together than other bamboo poles of similar size.

Mum is typically used for decorative applications that can tolerate some splitting. It is also an excellent choice for any project requiring strips of bamboo up to 2 inches wide.

We use a non-toxic boron solution that is 100% effective in eliminating insects. Because we pressure treat our bamboo, the solution penetrates every part and guarantees you will not have any powder post beetles, termites, or other pests.

Mum poles are available in diameters from 1 inch to 4 inches and lengths up to 12 feet. Longer poles may be available upon request.
